Frequently Asked Questions

Recruitment

  1. Who makes the case?

We are offering 3 different types of support for case development.

  1. We can work on the case together with you.
  2. We can teach your internal hiring manager how to develop a perfect case by certifying her/him as a case developer.
  3. We can connect you with our Case development team and they will create a case according to your wishes.

  1. How long does it take to develop a case?

The meeting with the case developer, where you can tell about your wishes and desires, will take only 30 minutes. If you can provide all relevant information in one meeting, developers will create a case in 2-3 hours.

  1. Who judges the case?

The hiring manager should be mainly responsible for judging the case, and additional judges can be added (e.g. experts within the team or recruiters).

If you don’t have access to professional knowledge within the organization, case developers can be hired to judge the case.

Judges are scoring anonymously, meaning that they do not have access to profiles and cannot see the names of the candidates until scores to all solutions have been provided.

  1. How long does it take to judge a case?

Usually, one judge can score one solution within a maximum of 10 minutes (depending on the judging criteria and the complexity of the solution).

  1. How do you ensure, that the process is unbiased?

Judges cannot see the names or resumes of candidates and do not have access to their profiles. Therefore, they can only see a number replacing the name of each candidate. Moreover, judges must give out their scores based on the judging criteria set by the recruiter.

  1. How long does it take for the candidate to solve a case?

Candidates can access the case from the moment it launches until the submission deadline. The actual time spent on solving the case is variable and depends on the complexity of the case. We recommend that the case should not take more than 30-90min to solve, to ensure a good candidate experience.

  1. How do you ensure, that the person uploading the solution is the person who has solved the case?

It takes only a few questions during the telephone screening or interview following the hand-in of the case to establish whether the person in front of you is the one who has solved the assignment (e.g. which other alternative answers has the candidate considered when solving the case? What was the thought process behind his/her answer?).

  1. How long does an Innoflow recruitment process take?

At the beginning of the collaboration with Innoflow, the recruiter will set up the desired timeline and our team will do their best to meet deadlines. The process takes 4-6 weeks since the job is posted to when the chosen candidate is hired.

  1. Where do I keep track of how many candidates have registered for the process?

To see the number of candidates who have signed up, go to the Dashboard → Participants → Participants Info.

  1. Can I communicate with and to the candidates during the process?

You can always notify or send a message to all candidates at the same time. When you write a message from the system the candidates automatically receive both an email and an in-platform notification.

  1. How long does it take to create a case page and event page?

It usually takes 1 hour to create an event page with the right picture, job post, and timeline provided by you.

  1. How do we help candidates when they need technical support?

Technical support contacts are visible through the entire recruitment process. You, and your candidates, are more than welcome to contact us about any technical issues you may be experiencing.

Case Competitions

  1. How does Innoflow support live video presentations (opening ceremony, closing ceremony)?

The Zoom integration will allow you (the Event Organizer) to create a meeting room which can be later shared with all the participants across the event via Event Messages. In order to create a link to the specific meeting room, you will have to sign into your Zoom account via browser. However, if you have done that already, you won’t be asked to sign in again and your link will be generated immediately!

Participants can join the meeting room using their Zoom account; however, it is also possible to join the meeting as a guest, in case they don’t have one.

Once the link is generated, it’s up to you how and with whom do you want to share it. You can either share it as Event Message, which will be seen by all participant across the event, or you can choose to send it to a few selected participants via email.

2. Who judges the case?

The Event Organizer is responsible for selecting a judge or multiple judges, who will score participants´ solutions based on the judging criteria set by the recruiter. The Event Organizer selects judges who can evaluate rationally and independently. Judges are scoring anonymously, meaning that they do not have access to profiles and cannot see the names of the participants.

3. How long does it take to judge a case?

Judging a case depends on the number of participants and judges. If there are many participants submitting their solution, and only few judges, it will take longer than the other way around.

Usually, one judge can score one solution within 10 minutes (depending on the judging criteria and complexity of the solution).

4. How do you ensure, that the process is unbiased?

Judges cannot see the names of participants, and do not have access to their profiles. Therefore, they can only see a number replacing the name of each candidate. Moreover, judges must score based on the defined judging criteria.

5. Where do I keep track of how many candidates have registered for the process?

To see the number of candidates who have signed up, go to the Dashboard → Participants → Participants Info.

6. Can I communicate with and to the participants during the process?

You can always send a message to all participants at the same time through the ‘Event Messages’.

7. How do we help participants when they need technical support?

All participants are given a point of contact, which is either the event organizer, or the person responsible for handling participants within your company. If any of the participants is experiencing technical issues, they will directly get in touch with their point of contact (responsible person in your company), who will get back to us. You are more than welcome to contact us about any technical issues you may be experiencing.

8. What if I need technical support?

We are here to help you, and we will do everything necessary to make your event a success. All product packages include 10 hours of support within office working ours (Mon-Fri 8-17). However, if you need more assistance, for an additional fee we can offer you support 24/7 (weekends included).

9. How long does it take to set up an event?
